做模型要有一套工具，包括水口钳，镊子，砂纸，打磨器，手钻，喷笔，喷泵等等，有些人觉得新人不需要上喷泵和喷笔，其实这是不对的，越早上越好，不要心疼，没有投入就没有产出啊。

当你选择完模型之后，就要开始制作了模型，步是打磨与修正，将零件开模和注塑时产生的瑕疵进行修正，然后开始正式制作。一般的，模型制作分为直做与改造。直做就比较简单了，只需要把盒子里的所有零件都拼起来，然后上色就可以了。改造的话就比较复杂了，涉及到一个使用蚀刻片 PE 和树脂件的程序。特别是对于小比例模型来说，例如 1:700 舰船模型，有大量细节无法用塑料表现出来，或者是连开出来都困难，比如小号手和富士美的舰船，都存在细节失真的问题。这时候就需要金属改造件了（一般都是铜的，部分也有不锈钢的，但是不锈钢的太硬，实际制作体验不好）。金属改造件可以极大的丰富模型的细节，提高拟真度，使模型看起来像真的一样。但是蚀刻片的使用非常复杂，折叠，粘合都需要有极大地耐心和足够的细心，而且还需要铲掉原有的细节。这里说一下粘合蚀刻片用的胶水，啫喱胶或是安特固，或是田宫出的 CA 胶，502 其实也是可以的。点胶的时候可以用 0.2 或是 0.1mm 的钻头点胶，核心原则就是少量多次，否则溢出的胶痕会让你很久。

The core principle is a small number of times, otherwise the spilled glue marks will make your eggs ache for a long time.

树脂件的添加主要是针对 1:350 舰船或是 1：35 坦克这种大比例模型，使用树脂件可以极大地丰富模型的细节和质感，但是有两个缺点一是树脂太脆，打磨与修正比较麻烦，再就是偏高。

在修正打磨时，根据不同的部分使用不同的打磨器材，比如修正水口的时候，可以先用笔刀将多出来的部分切掉，然后使用 1500 号的砂纸进行打磨。

当素组结束之后，你就可以开始上色了。上色也有两种选择，手涂与喷漆。对于兵人或是战锤这种模型，手涂是。对于各种坦克飞机舰船，喷漆则是。喷漆的时候，你需要一个气泵，一支喷笔，若干油漆，还有搭配若干油漆使用的稀释剂。将油漆按比例稀释，倒在喷笔里，然后开始喷漆。这是简略版介绍，实际喷漆的时候可能会遇到很多问题，比如潮湿的地方，喷笔会往外喷水，所以你需要添加水隔。干燥的地区可能造成喷泵过热烧坏。原则上，喷漆时尽量不要连续使用超过三分钟，虽然现在的气泵都有过热保护和自动停机，但是没人能保证不会出事。

再就是喷漆时喷笔距离模型在 10-15 厘米左右，不要太近，如果太近你喷出的漆在模型上会形成一坨，太远的话会使漆面太薄，也浪费漆。同时喷漆前建议喷一层水补土，用来打底增强漆的附着力和检查瑕疵。
